Mr. Dharmender works on animal-plant interaction. Most of the insects are dependent on plants for their survival and reproduction. Nano urea, a nanotechnology-based revolutionary fertilizer, provides bioavailable nitrogen to plants due to its very small particle size of about 20-50 nm, larger surface area, and high particle density. It also contributes to sustainable agriculture by mitigating abiotic stress, including climate change impacts, and by reducing nutrient losses via leaching and gaseous emissions, thus decreasing environmental pollution. Nano urea increases plant growth and the quality of yield. Therefore, his research focuses on the impact of nano urea on insect gut microbiota and how nano urea alters plant immunity and the survival rate of insects with different doses.
